My New Annual Catalog Shoebox Swap Card

When a New Catalog comes out, it's so exciting!!  This year my Upline, Susan Campfield chose to have a Shoebox Swap for us to participate in.  A Shoebox Swap is where you create a sample card, then you place all the supplies to make that card in a Shoebox for everyone else to make.  It's a lot of fun and gives us a chance to make so many different cards to use for displays for our customers.  Plus getting to use so many New Products is always exciting.  So today, I wanted to share with you my CASE of Julie Davison's card for this fun event.

When I saw this card on Julie Davison's blog, I knew that I wanted to give it a try.  I love how Julie used the Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape for the background of this card.  It just makes the tag and the sentiment pop for me !!  Thank you Julie for the inspiration!

Update! Color Like a Pro with Blendabilities Alcohol Markers!

So today, I thought I would share a beautiful card that my Upline, Susan Campfield shared with me!

First here's the Update.

Update: The Blendabilities Markers will be available for customers to order approximately end of June or early July.  If you just can't wait?

You do have an option.  Sign up to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and choose the Blendabilities for your starter kit.  There are 6 color sets available to demonstrators, plus the Skin Tone assortment, the Momento pad, and the Color Lifter.  This is a great time to just give it a try - you can quit at any time if it is not right for you.

Blendabilities with Blended Bloom in Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight with Papillon Potpourri1-imp

What's involved for you to join Stampin' Up! and my Team of passionate paper crafters?  You choose a starter kit option, select what catalog product you would like in your kit, and complete the form.  Once you are signed up and receive confirmation from Stampin' Up! you can start saving right away on all of your purchases and enjoy all  the perks of being a demonstrator.  Demonstrators get 20% off their catalog orders, opportunity to attend convention, a one month head start buying opportunity on the mini catalogs and selected new catalog merchandise, a bimonthly magazine with great ideas, access to Stampin' Connection website with thousands of ideas and videos shared by other demonstrators!  Minimum sales: To stay an active demonstrator you need to sell or/and purchase $300 per quarter.  That budgets out to selling and/or purchasing $25 a week in product.

There are all kinds of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators – which kind are you?
Discount Purchasers – It’s like purchasing a membership for a wholesale store like Sam's Club or Costco, you become a demonstrator and you get a discount on ALL your awesome products from Stampin’ Up!
Part-time – Certain times of the year you may invite your friends over to make some cute projects, they order, and you get to earn some extra cash!
Career – You would like to share your crafting with the world on a regular basis and receive a regular paycheck.
The choice is yours – being a demonstrator is flexible and it is all about you.
Right now you have two starter kit options.
You can choose the regular starter kit for $99.00 or, until the end of June, you can select the special $50.00 starter kit.  What is the difference?  Basically the difference is how much product you would like in your kit.  The best thing about the demonstrator starter kit is that YOU decide what goes in the kit.  For the $99 kit you select $125 of product from the catalog, and pay $99 plus tax.
For the $50 kit, you select $55 of product from the catalog, and pay $50 plus tax.  Both kits come with a business supply pack (chose standard, digital focus, or spanish focus) and a June Paper Pumpkin kit - plus the catalog product that you select!  For instance, if you wanted to get the supplies in the kit to make the above card (without the butterfly or greeting), you could put these supplies on your $50 kit:
Blended Bloom Stamp 135906 $11.95
Momento Ink Pad 132708 $5.95
Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities 130995 $11.95
Daffodil Delight Blendabilities 130998 $11.95
Color Lifter 129369 $4.95
Whisper White Cut & Ready Card Bases 135804 $4.95

I'm here to help you on your Stampin' Up! journey.  Just send me an e-mail with your questions and I would be happy to answer them!

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Happy Stamping !!!

DSP Swatch Books

Wow - Paper Crafting Made Easier with DSP Swatch Books - I Love them !!!
Books3

I always get excited when I find a good organization tool or idea for my Stampin' Room.  So here's my Cool Tool Suggestion For the New 2013 - 2014 Annual Catalog and starting August 1st, for the New Holiday Catalog too!!

Brian King (a member of the  Stampin' Pretty Pals Virtual Community) has a super cool tool that he is offering, it's Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (also known as "DSP") Swatch Books.  We were able to purchase something similar from Stampin' Up for a few years at Convention.  I Loved them and so did my customers!!  When I saw these on Brian's Blog  (Stamp With Brian ) I knew that I needed to have these again !!  Not only for my customers to browse through, but for my own Personal use too.  Brian is offering 13 choices of DSP in the new Stampin' Up! 2013-2014 Annual Catalog and starting August 1st, you will also be able to place an order for the New Holiday DSP Swatch Books!  So my order is in !!

Here's just a few really good reasons why I LOVE the DSP Swatch Books:
  • You get 11 Designer Series Paper Swatch Books PLUS 2 Specialty Designer Series Swatch Books.  PLUS starting August 1st the New Holiday Designer Series Paper Swatch Books!!
  • The swatch books are compact for quick access and easy storage.
  • Flip style allows you to see all the patterns within each collection in a flash.
  • Swatch books are labeled on the back along with a coordinating colors list.  Woo Hoo !!
  • I don't have to drag out all my 12 x 12 DSP when I'm in decision-making mode (not to mention all the scraps that can go flying in the air).
  • Demonstrators find them to be a convenient way to share real samples with their customers.
  • You will LOVE them too for your own Personal Creating Tool.
For complete details or to order Brian's Swatch Books, please visit his blog "Stamp With Brian" by clicking ( Here ).

Thanks for stopping by today !

Don't forget starting tomorrow you can place you Holiday Order !!!

Mixed Bunch and Versa Shadow

Good Evening Ladies,

I hope that you all had a great weekend! Big snow storm up here yesterday and then into today! Wow, I was getting used to the NO snow winter, darn it!  We have lots of snow now!

So I took a snow day today! Yipee !! While I was browsing yesterday and today I ran across the Versa Shadow technique on Erin Gonzales' blog.   I'd not seen or heard of this technique, so I wanted to give it a try.   I needed to make a couple of Thank You cards and decided this would be the perfect time to play with this technique.

Here's my take on Erin's awesome technique discovery.    Versa Shadow !!

Now it looks like these Mixed Bunch flowers on the background are Rub-ons, but no they are not!
This is the Versa Shadow technique, isn't it awesome !!  A new WOW to show off, how exciting!

Here's a closer view.
I used Basic Gray and Whisper White cardstock and White Craft Ink for this technique.  For the greeting I did use Basic Gray Ink.  This makes such a stunning project!!  Erin has a video on how to do the Versa Shadow Technique, along with some additional tips.
For the link to Erin's video.  Just click ( Here ).
You really need to give this a try, you won't be disappointed.
Thanks Erin for sharing your Versa Shadow Technique with us !!!

Happy Stamping !!!

Hostess Gifts for Stamp Club

Well it was a busy week for sure, hope that you all had a wonderful weekend!  Thursday night was the first meeting for my next session of Stamp Club.  Now last week I showed you my Thank You Nugget Purse, it's my little "Thank You" to my Stamp Club ladies.  Now they each take a turn to be the Hostess with the Mostest.  Not sure if that is a word, but oh well they are awesome ladies!!

So I usually have a couple of FUN gifts for them as a "Thank You" from me for being a Hostess.

First up is something that everyone should have.

It's a Baker's Twine Dispenser or Holder!!  I saw these cute Hostess gifts over at Patty Bennet's blog.   ( Here )    Patty thinks she saw the original idea over on Diana Gibbs blog, but Marie Shaughnessy also has this on her blog as a Storage Idea.  ( Here )   I think I have said this before, but I am always amazed and then so excited when someone creates something or finds a different way to use Stampin' Up products!!!   Well this is right up at the top of the list with me.

So have you already guessed that these are the containers that usually have all kinds of Stampin' Up  products inside.  Like buttons, brads, mini clips, jingle bells the list goes on and on.  Well the inside that has the Baker's Twine wrapped all around it are the plastic holders in that you find in the center of all your Rolls of Ribbon.  Now how clever is that!!  I only had time to make one of these cute holders so far, but Patty has several other ideas on how to decorate them.

Now those of you who were at Convention should recognize the Idea Book and Catalog Stickers that we could purchase.  The ladies were Super excited when I pulled these out!!  As each of them will be receiving their very own set of Stickers and of course each Stamp Club member receives a copy of the Current Idea Book & Catalog.

Now don't you wish you were here to participate in all the FUN!!

It's never too late!

Thanks for taking time to stop by today!!

Happy Stamping !!!!
