Ain't Love Grand - I Miss You Card

The package is in the mail and on it's way to the Grandkids !  I wanted to share the cute card that I made for them.  I was over at My Crafty World - Tiffany Bauer's blog, and once a week Tiffany has her Crafty Picks.  Where she showcases other pieces of art made using Stampin' Up! product that has inspired her in one way or another.  Well this card by Adriana Benitez inspired me.

So from the Ain't Love Grand  Hostess stamp set,  which I fell in love with.  Here is  the "I Miss You"  card.

These cards are pretty much a Case of the one that Adriana made with some small changes.  I just love how she made the clouds using the 1 3/8 Scallop Circle Punch.  Then by punching out an extra Scallop Circle and using some Bashful Blue ink and a sponge dauber I made the cloud outlines.

So I have one in Pretty In Pink for my granddaughter.

And one in Bashful Blue for my grandson.

As I've told you before I have a thing for ribbon.  So I added a little ribbon to both cards.  Now you probably can't see the rain drops as my camera is not the best.  But they are there falling from the clouds using the Dazzling Details from the upcoming Holiday Mini!

Thanks Aridana for your inspiration!!

I'm Wishing you a Wonderful weekend as summer is almost over!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog!!

Happy Stamping !!!

Sneak Peek - Warmest of Wishes Halloween Box and Card

Wow, I have no idea where the week went to.  Actually, I do.  It's been busy at work again with overtime needed, so the FUN time always suffers.  I really think it should be the other way around, don't you ?  But I have been trying to get some projects together to show you.  This Saturday is our Quarterly Meeting and I was asked to Demo something that we saw at Convention to share with those who were unable to attend.  I always like it when someone shows you another way to use something.  Well at Convention this year Brian Pilling showed us another way to use the Mini Milk Carton Bigz Die.  I tried this out right after Convention, just so that I would remember how it was made.  I needed a Birthday Gift for a Special Friend who's Birthday I missed while at Convention.  You can see my first project  ( Here )  Now I have decided that this will be my project to demo at our Quarterly Meeting.

Drum Roll Please................

Here is my group picture of the Warmest of Wishes Halloween Box and Card.  Now,  I will only be doing a demo on how to make the Mini Milk Carton Box, but the card that I made to go with it really needed to be included too.  Aren't they just the cutest things ever!  Check out the Sparkle on the Owl's Mask!  It's a New Product that will be available on September 1st in the Holiday Mini.  You can see it a little better in the next picture, it's called Dazzling Details !!

The inspiration for this Mini Milk Carton box came from Mary Fish.  So I will start from the beginning with how lucky I was this year to be able to meet Mary and Mike at Convention.

I made them a Special Thank You Chocolate Treat Holder as my Convention gift for them.  You can see my prior post  ( Here ) which also has the directions for the Treat Holder.
Mary took my idea and turned it into this cute Halloween Chocolate Bar Treat Holder.  Which she used in her Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop of 3-D items in August.  You'll see where I got my inspiration by clicking  ( Here ) to see Mary's Chocolate Treat Holder.

I couldn't just stop there with only the Halloween Box.   So I decided since I was going to be doing this project as my Demonstration that I really needed a cute Halloween card to go with it.  That way you have a cute gift and a card for Halloween!!

Here are some of the details:

Stamp Sets:   Warmest of Wishes, Wicked Cool
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla.

A Big Thank You to Mary for inspiring this project!!

This is my upcoming class for August and I can't wait.  We'll be making 3 super cute projects.  First I have received approval to teach you how to make Becky Roberts Backpack.  You can also purchase Becky's tutorial ( Here ).  We will also be making a card using the "Morning Cup" stamp set.  Then as the final project there is this cute little Chocolate box.  All the projects will be using the new Mocha Morning Designer Paper.  I'm really LOVING these cute Backpacks!!
Thanks Becky !!!

Here is the group picture showing all of the Samples that I made for Class.  This is my take on one of the Birthday Backpacks that Becky has on her blog.

This picture is a side view, which shows the 1 1/4" Soft Suede grosgrain ribbon on the back.

Here's just the card along with the Chocolate Box.   The card was made using the Morning Cup set and A Word for You with Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and one of the New Embossing Folders "Designer Frames".  The Chocolate Box is made using the Matchbox Bigz Die, Itty Bitty Punch pack with some Pearl Jewels and 3/8" Kraft taffeta ribbon for the handle.  The Decorative Label Punch makes the opening on the front.

Back to School Gifts for the Grandkids - Part 2

As promised I'm back with Part 2 of the Back to School Gifts for the Grandkids.  This time of year always gets so busy with everyone trying to enjoy the last couple of weeks of summer.  But I wanted to Share with you today two more gifts that I will be sending down soon to the Grandkids.

First is the ABC Pencil Holder

This is a spin off from the Thank You Chocolate Treat Holders that I made for my Stamp Club and I also made some for Convention Gifts which I posted earlier ( Here )   However, I have used a Back to School theme and added some fun Back to School pencils.
The measurements are just a bit smaller for the Pencil Holder.  Which are below.

Stamp Set:  Tart and Tangy  (retired)
Real Red Cardstock    2" x 10 1/4"  Score @ 5" and then @ 5 1/4"
You also want to Score @ 1/4" all the way down on both sides of the 10 1/4" side.
Basic Black Cardstock   1 5/16" x 4 3/4"
Daffodil Delight  - 1" x  1"  scraps for alphabet letters
Just Add Cake Designer Paper   1 3/16" x 4 1/2"
Markers: Real Red, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip
1/4" Basic Black grosgrain ribbon, Timeless Type Alphabet Dies, Big Shot, Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet, Regular Hole punch (non- SU), Sticky Strip

Tip for the Day:   I use the Adhesive Sheet to adhere the letters to a project.  Cut a 1" x 12" strip of cardstock and then I do the same with the Adhesive Sheet.  Put the cardstock on the Adhesive Sheet, then I cut  1" x 1" or 1" x 1 1/4" pieces depending on which letters you are using.  Run through the Big Shot with the white side up and cardstock side down so your letters turn out correct.  Then peel off the white backing and stick down.  Not so messy that way!

The second gift for today is a Back to School Gum Holder.

Everyone knows that you need to have a Special Snack when school is done for the day!  So I thought this would be a FUN After School Treat.   These are really easy to make and can be done for any Occasion.

Here is a close up view.

The measurements below are for the Orbit Gum Packs.  There are different sizes so your measurements may vary depending on the brand of Gum that you are using.

Stamp Set:  Pennant Parade,  It's a Wrap Occasions
Real Red Cardstock   4" x 6 1/4"  You will Score @ 2 1/2", 2 7/8" and  5 3/8", 5 3/4"
Basic Black Cardstock for the Top Note which is cut exactly in half.
Real Red and Very Vanilla Cardstock for the Pennant.  Petite Pennants Builder Punch
Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green and Whisper White for the Books.   Word Window Punch
Basic Black Journal Marker, White Gel Pen, Big Shot, Top Note Bigz Die, 3/4" Circle Punch

Well there you have it!  This year's Back to School Gifts for the Grandkids!

I hope that everyone is having a Great Weekend!!!
I Thank You for stopping by and checking out my blog!!

Back to School Gifts for the Grandkids

It's been busy at work, which means not as much FUN time to stamp.  However, it's almost Back to School time.  That means it's time to send down my package to the Grandkids with their Back to School gifts.  I don't have them all made yet, but I'll share the two that I do have done.

First let's start with the cute Backpack that I saw over at Becky Roberts' blog.  They are simply too cute for words and super easy to make.  Becky has several different themes that she has posted along with her new Back to School one.  You can get the tutorial to make these on Becky's blog ( Here )

Here's my take on Becky's Backpack:

This is a front view group picture of them.  The one on the right is a case of one of Becky's Birthday Backpacks.  The one on the left is my own version.

Here is a side view of them.  Aren't they darling!!

This one is for my granddaughter, she will be in 7th Grade this year.  I used the Cheerful Treat Designer Paper which is in the Hostess section of the current Idea Book and Catalog.

This one is for my grandson, who will be in the 1st Grade.
I used the Big Top Designer Series Paper for his.

Now imagine if you will, what cute ones you can make when you change up the Designer Paper!!  These will also make the Perfect Teacher's Gift too!!  Perfect for adding a gift card inside.

The second gift is my Back to School version of the Post It Notes Holders that I posted earlier.  The original one was Butterfly Prints from Angie Kennedy Juda and the link for that is  ( Here ) in my earlier post.

This is the front view of these cute note holders.

And this is the open view of them.  It's so fun when you find the cute notes to match the theme.

I'll be back later to share a couple more surprises for them.  Be sure to stop back and see them.

Thanks to Becky and Angie for the inspiration for my Back to School gifts!!

Have a great day and Thanks for taking time to stop by and check out my blog!

Happy Stamping !!!

As I posted earlier this week, I have a few Birthdays coming up this month.  While I was out blog browsing the other day and found those cute Butterfly Prints Birthday cards, guess what else I found?  These cute Butterfly Prints Post It Note Holders, which were also on Angie Kennedy Juda's Blog.  Angie does has a video on how to make this cute project.  ( Here )

Super cute, super easy to make and they even coordinate with the Birthday Cards!
It doesn't get any better than that!

Here's a group picture of three of them.  Wisteria Wonder, Baja Breeze, and Blushing Bride.
So now I have a cute little gift to go along with the Cute Birthday Cards.  Perfect !!

Butterfly Prints Birthday Cards

I sure hope that everyone had a great weekend!  Sunday we went to the Beach Boys Concert which was at the New Ampitheatre at Mystic Lake.  First time for me at an outside venue for a concert.  Wow, did we have a great time!  Even though it was very hot and very humid still at 7:00 pm.

Now I'm sure you've all heard the old saying "An the Cobbler has no shoes" well this holds true as I was in great need of Birthday Cards.  So the Demonstrator has no "Birthday" cards?
Most of my Birthday Celebrations seem to come in groups all about at the same time for some reason.  I've been trying to play catch up since being at Convention.  So while browsing the other day I found these adorable Birthday Cards that were on Angie Kennedy Juda's blog.  ( Here )  Where Angie has a video available with all the details.

This was actually Angie's Convention Card this year.  But this Birthday Card was calling to be CASED, so I did just that.

Here's a group picture of all the cards that I made.  We have Lucky Limeade, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Wisteria Wonder.  Aren't they darling!

Now here is a close up picture, so you can see just how darling they really are!
A Big Thank You to Angie for sharing her Convention Card!!

Thanks so much for taking time to stop by today!!!

Happy Stamping !!!
