31 Day Countdown to Halloween

Hello ladies!  I've been busy trying to get the package off to the grandkids for Halloween.  Their package is due to arrive today, so mission accomplished.  I wanted to share what I've been so busy with these past couple days, besides being busy at work too!

It's the 31 Day Countdown to Halloween!

I was pretty much done with things until I found this idea on Kim Assaly's blog.   You can see Kim's Countdown by clicking  ( Here )     I have been trying to find a 12 x 12 frame to do the 25 Day Countdown to Christmas, without any luck.  Thought about doing it on Canvas, but it just wasn't what I wanted.  Then I saw Kim's idea.  Woo Hoo !!!  Kim used the Stampin' Up Chunky Frame which was discontinued, but now is on the Clearance Rack.  It's perfect for this project and you can even have a picture in the middle of the kids with their Halloween costumes on.  So check out the Clearance Rack to see if the Chunky Frame is still available.  So I placed an order first so that I could make the Halloween Countdown and then next up will be the Christmas Countdown.

Here's how it starts out.

You take the Chunky Frame and then cover the front with Designer Paper.  The Pick Your Poison Designer Paper was used here.  You could also use the Frightful Sights Designer Paper too.  I covered all the sides and then the inside edge of where the picture goes.  Trimmed out with the Pick Your Poison Quick Accents around the window on the front.

Then you start adding your 31 countdown windows, there are a few of them that do not open.  Some of the windows have two countdown numbers as this is the only way to reach 31.  The others are made with the Peek-A-Boo Frames Die.  With 31 being the Center Window.

Stamp Sets used were Spooky Bingo Bits, 25 & Counting, Wicked Cool and I did use a couple of retired SU Halloween stamps.  Punches galore.  I was so close to my drop dead date to get their package in the mail, that I forgot to put the "31" on the doors to the picture window.  I didn't realize this until last night when I was looking at the pictures.  So I'll be sending that down to them.

I will post some additional pictures showing close ups of some of the windows, hopefully tomorrow.
A big Thank You to Kim for sharing this awesome idea !!!

Thanks for taking time to stop by and check out my blog!!!

Happy Stamping !!!

The stamp set that I used was "Out on a Limb" from last years Holiday Mini. I forgot to include that one on my list of stamps. I do apologize.
