Yesterday was our Quarterly Stamp Share Meeting. We always have lots of Sharing time throughout the entire meeting! I thought today would be a good day to share with you our Make & Takes that we made yesterday. All the Make & Takes were created by Susan Campfield and Brenda Cardinal.
Big Thanks go to Susan and Brenda for sharing their really awesome ideas for our Make & Takes !!!
From left to right we have the "Bliss" Card. The "YoYo" Pin, and a "Kisses" Treat Holder.
The "Bliss" Card.
The "Bliss Card" uses the Bliss stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, a must have for sure!
The Framed Tulip Embossing Folder so highlights this card and is in the Occasions Mini catalog.
Stamp Sets: Bliss, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Basic Black 4 1/4" x 11", 2 3/4" x 4 1/8",
Crumb Cake 5 1/4" x 4",
Very Vanilla 2 1/2" x 3 7/8", Real Red for the Butterfly.
Basic Black 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Word Punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslit.
The "YoYo" Pin.
The "YoYo" Pin uses the New Designer Fabric "Springtime Vintage" in the Occasions Mini catalog. Everyone needs to sport one of these beauties! Brenda Cardinal demonstrated for us how to make the "YoYo" Pin.
For the "YoYo" Pin you will need the Clear Circle Die and the Largest Circle from the Circle #2 Die to make this awesome Pin. A little thread and a needle to gather the fabric around the edges of the circles to make the YoYo's, then add one of the Antique Brads to the center. You'll need a pin back and Voila there you have it!!
The "Kisses" Treat Holder.
This cute little "Kisses" Treat Holder is made with the Sale-A-Bration Ribbon and Button Pack. The "You're A Gem" stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog.
A 4" x 4" square Pacific Point Designer Paper. Scored on both of the sides @ 1" and then the top and bottom are scored @ 1 1/2", Adhesive on the top and bottom edges, Whisper White and Pacific Point cardstock, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Rhinestone Jewels, Mini Library Clips. Live, Laugh & Love
This card was posted on Sandi MacIver's blog this past Sunday. And since there was a FREE tutorial and it was also a Masculine card, it was just calling out to me for a TOTAL Case. This card and tutorial of Sandi's was also featured in the January edition of Papers and Pixels. Congrats Sandi ! You can see this fabulous card on Sandi's blog ( Here ).
This card also has a lot of FUN techniques.
One is the water coloring
Two the crystal effects and
Three the FUN gathered ribbon.
I did my ribbon just a little differently. I used the 1 Minute to Wow Video technique that Mary Fish has on her blog. You can see this video by clicking the the link ( Scrunchy Ribbon Video ).
So now that you have checked out all the FUN techniques, here's my Cased Card.
This card is so much prettier in person when you can see how the Crystal Effects shows off the Heart. But what a great way to try out so many FUN techniques!
A very BIG THANK YOU to both Sandi and Mary for sharing the techniques!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!!
Happy Stamping !!!

Cute Owl Calendars for 2011
Today is Martin Luther King Day and it's a Stamping Play Day for Sue! So relaxing to get some FUN projects done. While I was reading the Late Night Stampers email this morning, I came across the perfect idea that I just couldn't resist to check out. "Owl Calendars" by Vicki Burdick ( here ). Vicki had the most adorable calendars posted on her website, and like her I was needing to use the 2011 calendars that I had purchased. I have made different calendars each year either as gifts or as a Stamp Club project. These were just too stinking cute, so of course I had to case them since I was home today. Vicki got her inspiration from Diana Gibbs who had made her calendars using the "My Digital Studio" program. You can see Diana's calendar ( here ). And I was so thrilled with how they turned out! I think this may be one of my hostess gifts for Stamp Club and also a "Thank You" gift for those who book a workshop.
Okay, so here is my take on these Cute Owl Calendars.
The First one is totally cased from Vicki's idea. I love the "Love Letter" Designer Paper with the Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red and Basic Black. The Second one is using the NEW Designer Paper "Springtime Vintage". I was in love the minute that I saw this Designer Paper in the NEW Occasions Mini!
The Third one is also using the NEW "Springtime Vintage" Designer Paper and the Fourth one is using the "Elegant Soiree" Designer Paper. They were so much FUN to make and really pretty easy too!
Here are my measurements that I used to make the calendars:
2 - Square Scallops using the Square Scallop Die
Cardstock background - 4" x 6 3/4"
Designer Paper 3 7/8" x 6 5/8"
2 1/2" Circle Punch, Two-Step Owl Punch, Two-Step Bird Punch, Scallop Circle Punch
The Scallop Circle was run through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Folder. Add your calendar and of course I had to add some ribbon on mine! It's kinda like a signature thing for me.
I had a Wonderful Day today, thanks to Vicki's awesome idea!! Thanks Vicki for sharing !!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you give these calendars a try !
Happy Stamping !!

Love Impressions Valentine Treat Bag
I hope that everyone is having a great week so far! I so miss my York Peppermint Patties projects. I just don't understand why they changed the packaging. I know that Pearson's has them, but I really liked the York ones best. I know that I've told you that before, so I just need to get over it! Good news is that I have a New Favorite Hershey Nugget that I love, it's the one with Toffee & Almonds. Can you say Yummy! So since I did a Treat Bag for Thanksgiving and Christmas using the Hershey Nuggets, how could I not do one for Valentine's Day !! They are a quick gift to make and with Chocolate how can you go wrong there? Think Teacher Gift for Valentine's Day and you could add a 3 x 3 Valentine's Day Card too!
Viola and here it is!
Recipe:
5 Hershey Nuggets
Love Impressions Deisigner Paper 1" x 3" strips
Cardstock - Real Red 1 3/8" x 5", Plus a scrap

Love Impressions Gift Box
Well I hope that everyone had a safe and Happy New Year. So let's get the New Year off to a great start !
I wanted to share with you today this CUTE Love Impressions Gift Box. I did a Candy Cane Gift Box back in November. ( here ) Since it was so fun to make, I thought I would do another one for Valentine's Day. Original idea was from Patti Lee where she made a Halloween Tower with the boxes. I have the link ( here ) so you can get the measurements. Are you ready?
I just LOVE how it turned out! This view is more of a front view.
This view shows more of a top view of the box.
It's just the perfect size to fill with candy or a small gift for Valentine's Day. Super easy to make too!
Recipe: Love Impressions Designer Paper, Pink Pirouette & Basic Gray cardstock, Prettty In Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon Pretty In Pink 1/8" Tafetta Ribbon, Full Heart Punch, Scalloped Hearts Embosslit, Love Impressions Rub-Ons
Remember it's only 41 Days til Valentine's Day!
