Merry Christmas - Last Minute Gift - Nugget Holder

First I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas !!!   I know that I have been absent, not by choice but due to overtime at work.  So since I have a few minutes today as I am getting ready for Christmas, I thought I would share this Last Minute Gift with you.

I found this cute idea on Dawn Olchefske's blog.

You always need a Last Minute Gift, and this is perfect !!!

And it's super easy to do !!

Here's a little closer view for you.

 Here's what you need:

Cardstock Base is: 3" x 5" scored @ 1 3/8"
A small cello bag - (retired)
Cardstock Mat is:   1 1/4" x 2 7/8"
Designer Paper is:  1" x 2 5/8"
Add a little something ( Chocolate works well) and Decorate as you like !!

My 2012 Holiday Card !!

First I have to share this awesome video that I received from Stampin' Up today in my email box!!

What a wonderful thing to find in your email.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did !!!

Second, the Xmas Tree is up and the Holiday Stamp Club meeting was last week !!

I didn't realize how hard it would be to take a picture with Blinking lights on the Tree.  So this is the best shot as it shows at least 3 of the 4 sections of the lights on.  Nothing better than getting into the Holiday Spirit and I know I'm looking forward to it.  Then on Sunday we got the White Snowflakes and I must say that we got more than expected.   About 17 inches to be exact.  So it is a Winter Wonderland for sure!

And now for the Grand Finale !!!  My 2012 Holiday Card!!  Drum roll please.........

Now don't fall off your chair, but this is My Very Own Creation with a little inspiration from a good friend Becky Roberts.   Now I'm off to finish up my cards, so that they can get in the mail.

November Diva Night Make and Takes

I thought I better get this posted.  Diva Night is our monthly meeting and we had some awesome Make and Takes that I wanted to share with you.  I have 3 of them to share so let's get started!! 

Here's the group picture of them:

So we have from left to right a Merry Mittens Xmas card, an awesome Side Easel Card with tea light, and last but not least we have the Gingerbread Men Treat Bag !! 

First up is the Merry Mittens Xmas Card:

Super cute card and oh so easy to create!  With the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder for your background, then we added the "Happy Christmas" Greeting from the More Merry Messages stamp set and the Merry Mittens are from the Make a Mitten stamp set.  Using the Mitten Builder Punch to punch them out and then attached with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine.

Next up we have the Side Easel Card with a Wow!!

This Beautiful Side Easel card is made with the Serene Silhouettes stamp set, Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper, Early Espresso Embossing Powder, Vellum, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake cardstock.  The Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon is such an accent on this card.  The greeting is from the Made for You stamp set.  The "WOW" for this card is that you set a Tea Light behind the Vellum window to shine the light through!!!

Last but not Least is the Gingerbread Men Treat Bag:

This was so much FUN to make!  I'm sure that you have seen the idea for the Topper all over the Blog world, but it really makes an Awesome Topper for this Treat Bag filled with Gingerbread Men!
Start with a normal size card in Garden Green,  then add Real Red  3 3/4" x 5" after you run through the Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  The Cookie Sheet is made using Brushed Silver cardstock measuring 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" scored @ 1/4", 1/2", 3 3/4", and 4".   Using the Scentsational Season stamp set the Gingerbread Men are made, then the Holiday Collection Framelits cut them out.  The Oven mitts are made using the Mitten Builder Punch and Garden Green Prints Designer Series Paper.  The Greeting is from the Sweets for the Sweet stamp set.  The Gusseted Cellophane Bags work perfectly to hold the Gingerbread Men.

Seasons of Sweets - Mini Album

With the Gift Exchange coming up next week, I thought it would be good to get my Holiday Gift completed while I had a couple of days off.  I know it's hard to believe, but sometimes it actually does really happen!  I knew what I wanted to make, just haven't had the time. 

My Holiday Gift is from the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition 2012.  I fell in LOVE with this Seasons of Sweets - Mini Album that Connie created for the Holiday Edition and knew this was what I wanted to make for my Holiday Gift this year. 

Now I did have to make one little change as I didn't have the Felt Ornaments that Connie used for the front cover.  But I think it turned out so cute with the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set too!

Christmas Mittens Card

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!!  It was a busy one for us for sure !!
It was our 39th Wedding Anniversary on Thanksgiving!!  And yes, we actually were married on Thanksgiving Day.   So this was a special Anniversary for us!  We went to see the CIRQUE DREAMS WINTER WONDERLAND, what an awesome show that was! 
No cooking for me this year !  Not to worry though, we did have all the Thanksgiving goodies.

I've had a couple of days off,  Woo Hoo !!  So I've been trying to get some Christmas gifts ready ahead of time.  :0  As I know I'll be working overtime for sure.  As I was browsing for a card idea for the Holiday Gift Exchange next week, I found one that caught my eye.  This is pretty much a case of Dawn Griffith's card that I saw.  I did have to change a couple of small things as I didn't have all of the stamp sets, but all is well.

Now here is a closer view, hopefully you can see the details a little better.

This card is so beautiful and sparkly.  Pefect for this occasion!

Here's what I changed:  Since I didn't have the Snowflake Soiree set that Dawn used, I had to come up with something else.   So I used the New Single Stamp Bold Snowflake.  I stamped it using the New Illuminate Ink Pad, added a little dazzling diamonds and punched it out with the Blossom Punch.  I also added a Jewels Basic Pearl in the center.   Dawn also has a video tutorial in case you want to give this one a try.  Just click  Here .

Merry and Type Xmas Card

Well I hope that everyone has taken advantage of the On-Line Extravaganza !!!  I know that some of you already have.  How can you pass up some of these awesome deals!!

One thing that I enjoy every month is the Monthly Swap that I participate in, with some of the most Talented Demonstrators!!  It was such an honor to be asked to join in the FUN each month!!  So today I wanted to share my card for this month's Swap.  It's a case of a card that I fell in LOVE with on Chat Wszelaki's blog. 

I think this card is so elegant with just a little bling to make it Sparkle !   The Midnight Muse and Whisper White are just the perfect combination for this Winter Xmas card.   With the Snowflake embossed background along with the Snow Flurry die cut to offset, this just makes it pop for me.
Now being a ribbon girl, there is just the right accent with the Midnight Muse stitched ribbon that goes down the side.

Snowman Tea Lights

Well it's been awhile again, sorry.  I thought it was time to have a Becky Roberts day!!  I saw these cute Snowman Tea Lights on Becky's blog last week and I just fell in LOVE with them.  One of my favorite things that I collect is SNOWMEN!!  I have them all over the house for the Holiday Season.  So as I finally got some time to play this weekend, I just had to give them a try.  I really LOVE when that happens!!

So here they are:

                   Aren't these just the cutest Snowmen ever !!


Then here is a Close Up:

I added a little twist to mine, as they have magnets on the back so that you can put them on your frig or at your desk on a file cabinet!  I used the 1" square magnets and attached them on the back.   You could even hang these on your Christmas tree and light up their nose!  Wouldn't that just be too FUN!  Becky has the directions on her blog, so I have a link for you, all you have to do is click  ( Here ) .   Becky got her idea from a post by Darlene Adams that was on Pinterest in 2011.

I had a lot of fun making these and they will be my 3-D item for our monthly DIVA meeting on Wednesday this week.

October Stamp Club !!

It's Halloween already and I still haven't had time to share so many things.  Last Thursday was Stamp Club night!!  So I wanted to at least get these projects posted.

I didn't get a total group picture this time.  Just couldn't squeeze everything in.

So since it is Halloween, I wanted to start with the Halloween Bat Treat Holder.

Aren't these just the cutest Bats that you've ever seen !!!  You may have seen these around in blog world.  But I actually saw this project on Mary Fish's Halloween Blog Hop.  The creator of the Bat Treat Holder is Rae Harper.  You can check out the Blog Hop by clicking ( Here ).

Here's my Recipe:
Fancy Favor XL Bigz Die, 1 3/8" Circle Punch (Old Olive), 1 1/4" Circle Punch (Brights Prints- Tangerine Tango), 3/4" Circle Punch ( Basic Black ),  1 3/4" Circle Punch (Real Red) mouth, Pennant Punch (Whisper White) fangs.  3 1/2" Circle Bigz Die (Basic Black) cut in half and then 1" Circle Punch to make the wings.  Add Halloween Treats or a special gift!!

Googly Ghouls Ghirardelli Treat Holder

Well life certainly has not been a bowl of Cherries lately.  But life goes on and time flies by.  Hoping for better times in the future.  So sorry that I haven't been able to post like normal.  But I thought I better get some things out here before you quit stopping by!

This cute Treat Holder is one that I found out on Dawn Griffith's blog.  I just love to give the gift of chocolate whenever I can.  Thought this was just to CUTE to not give it a try.  This is pretty much a total case of Dawn's project!  So give this one a try.

Interlocking Hearts Anniversary Easel Card

I needed to come up with an Anniversary card for my brother and his wife.  Their 15th Anniversary is this Thursday.  While browsing the blogs for an idea, I finally found the perfect card.  This card was on Dawn Olchefske's blog.  Now Dawn received this card as a Swap from Mary Polcin at the Milwaukee Regionals back in March.  Dawn recently recreated this and made a video showing us how to make this awesome Interlocking Hearts card. 

So here's my take on Mary's Interlocking Hearts card as an Easel card.

I took another picture of the front view on a piece of white paper to hopefully show off some of the wonderful details of this card.

This card is so elegant.  I used the Lacey Brocade Embossing folder for my background and the same Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder for the Interlocking Hearts.  Accented with the Basic Pearl Jewels on Very Vanilla cardstock.  The Hearts are all from the Hearts Framelits using one for the sentiment too!!  Stamp sets used were Teeny Tiny Wishes and Love & Laughter.  Happy Anniversary is punched out using the Word Window punch.
