Getting Ready for the Holidays Workshop Cards

About a week ago I had a workshop with a wonderful group of ladies from the Princeton, Zimmerman and Anoka areas of Minnesota.  The excitement for getting together to stamp with friends was awesome!  Our gracious hostess made the most yummy Pumpkin Bars for Dessert and we just added some great conversation !!

Just picture yourself and all of your friends setting aside a special night just to get together.
Then IMAGINE how fun that would be catching up with good friends and to make your Holiday cards!  Give me a call and we'll plan for some FUN!!

We just had the best time making the following cards for the Holidays!

Here's the first card using the Day of Gratitude stamp set.  It's an Envelope Card, which I'm sure that you've seen.  This is my take to use for Thanksgiving!

Recipe:
Day of Gratitude Stamp Set
Ink:  Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, More Mustard
Cardstock:
Early Espresso   4 1/4" x 5 3/4"   Plus a scrap
Cajun Craze 4" x 5 1/2"   Plus a scrap
Very Vanilla  3 3/4" x 5 1/4",  2 3/4" x 2 3/4"   Plus a scrap
More Mustard cardstock 2  1/2" x 4 1/4",  3" x 3"
Autumn Spice Designer Paper  1 1/2" x 3 3/4",  2 1/4" x 4"
1" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Punch, Extra Large Decorative Label Punch, Very Vanilla Medium Envelope

You'll want to seal the envelope first then cut the envelope on the sealed side, so that it will be 4 1/4" across.  Then you layer the Early Espresso on top of the envelope, making sure that you cover the sealed envelope side.

The second card was a very elegant Christmas card that was designed by Susan Campfield and Brenda Cardinal for our Stamp A Stack Event that was held earlier in October.

Recipe:
Perfect Punches Stamp Set
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Cardstock:
Very Vanilla  4 1/4 " x 11"    Plus a Scrap
Old Olive  Scrap
Cherry Cobbler 3/4" x 5 1/2"    Plus a Scrap
Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, 1/2" Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding,
1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch
Big Shot (Ladies - This is a must have, so put it on your Xmas Wish List)

Ladies don't forget to make some time for yourself  !!
Happy Stampin"

October Stamp Club Projects

Today I wanted to share the October Stamp Club Projects with you.  We actually did 3 projects with a mix of Autumn, Halloween and Thanksgiving.

The first project was the Day of Gratitude Treat Holder which I showed on October 13th.  (here)
Everyone had a great time making this project.

The second project was a cute little twist on the Gift Card Treat Holder that I had done earlier and was Gretchen Barron's idea.  The twist is instead of a Gift Card there is a note pad and instead of the Treat Holder there is a Halloween pencil.  This original idea was from Terri Snider, a fellow demonstrator in my group.  Here's my Halloween take!

This is the closed view of the Note Pad Holder.

This is the open view of the Note Pad Holder.

Recipe:
Pumpkin Pie cardstock  4" x 8 1/2"  score @ 4 1/4"   Fold on the 4 1/4" and then score 5 /16" on both sides of the center score line.  This will make the pocket to hold the pencil.  Find the center of the fold and then make 2 cuts up to the 2nd score line about 1" apart. You will push the center out and then pull the other 2 sides in.  I used the corner rounder punch on the corners.
Wicked Fun Designer Paper  3 5/8" x 3 6/8" an attach to the front.  I added some Bats with the Bitty Bat Punch.  5" of Ribbon tied around the pencil will hold the pencil in place.  Add your post it pad and you are done!

The third project I found on Stampin' Connections and I absolutely fell in love with Mrs. Acorn!  This was done by France Martin on Stamp and Scrap with Frenchie.  She even made a video so that you can follow along with her.  (here)   Mrs. Acorn is just too cute!!   Thanks Frenchie for sharing this FUN autumn card.

Recipe:
Stamp sets - Day of Gratitude and Seasonal Sentiments
Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Basic Black and Very Vanilla cardstock.
Ink - Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Regal Rose
Ornament Punch, Extra Large Decorative Label Punch, Large Oval Punch, Lattice Embossing Folder, Linen Thread, Glimmer Brads, Basic Black Brads, Gel Pen.

Now go have yourself some Stampin' FUN!

Happy Stamping !!

A Halloween Altered Clear Box Lollipop Holder

It was a very busy week and I am so glad it's the weekend.  I know that I said I was done with Halloween projects, but I have one final project to share with you today.  The Halloween Altered Clear Box Lollipop Holder that I made is a spin from an idea that I saw on Andrea Walford's blog (here).

Although this was from a couple years ago, it is a Super Fun idea.  Andrea has wonderful directions. Please keep in mind your box size may be different from Andrea's, so you may need to adjust your measurements accordingly. This project was so much fun to make!
My clear boxes are 4 3/4 " x 6 1/2" x 1".  The lovely Lollipops are from the Dollar Store and they are sold as a 5 lollipop bunch.  Wicked Fun Designer Paper, Bitty Bat Large Punch, Basic Black cardstock, Raven 1/2" Lace Ribbon, Black Iridescent Shredded Paper.

Thanks for sharing your idea Andrea !!!

Cute Christmas Card Box

I heard about this darling little card box from one of my Stamp Club members.  She had some questions, so of course I had to go check it out and see what Angie Kennedy Juda had made.  The video is on her "Chic N Scratch Live" blog. (here)     Once there it took me about two seconds to decide that I had to give it a try.  So easy to make !!!     I JUST LOVE IT !!!   And then ALL kinds of possibilities for Christmas gifts came rushing in.  Thanks Angie for sharing your video !!

In her video Angie says that the card box holds 13 cards and envelopes.
Haven't had time to make those yet !

Happy Stamping  !!

Stamp For A Cure !!

I am posting this for Lynn Pratt, a fellow demonstrator.  Lynn has decided to make this project in honor of her daughter Ashley. For those of you who have not heard Lynn's five year old daughter, Ashley, has recently been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. She is an amazing kid and continues to impress us with her great attitude towards this disease. ALL proceeds from this project will go directly to the American Diabetes Association in Ashleys' name!

The purses are approximately 7" across x 4 1/2" tall x 4" deep. They will easily fit many cards and envelopes inside and would be great to hold swaps!

By making a donation of any amount to the American Diabetes Association you can get the full tutorial for this project.

CLICK HERE  to see Ashleys' Diabetes Page and/or make a donation!

This message is from Lynn:  I would like to thank all of you who make a donation of any amount from the bottom of my heart. You are welcome to make a donation to this great cause even if you do not want the tutorial. So many people suffer from this disease and every penny donated gets them that much closer to finding a better way to handle the disease and hopefully find a future cure!

Thank you ,
 Lynn Pratt

Halloween Gable Treat Box

This cute project is a Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho original !!  In February she made this Gable Box and then she added her Special Touch and created the inside to hold 3 Test Tubes filled with candy and 3x3 cards and envelopes.  The Test Tubes are again the 4" ones from Papertrey Ink that are shown (here)
So this was another one of my other Halloween projects that still needed to be completed.  Becky has a tutorial with pictures on her blog (here)   So here is my take on her cute idea.

This is the Front View of the Gable Treat Box.

This is a Full View of the Gable Treat Box and all of the goodies that go inside.  Because after I sealed it with sticky strip, then I remembered I hadn't taken a picture of the inside view.  And there are actually 4 cards, 2 of each that are pictured above.

Recipe:  Wicked Cool Stamp Set, Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Whisper White cardstock.  Wicked Fun Designer Paper,  Rich Razzleberry 1/8 Ribbon, Raven 1/2" Lace Trim, Basic Pearls, Bitty Bat Punch, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punches, 1" Circle Punch, Spider Web Embossing Folder, Paper Piercer

You'll have so much fun making this project for a Special Person or Friend for Halloween.
Thanks Becky for sharing your awesome creativity!!
Now it's your turn to give this idea a try !!!

Have a Great Weekend !!!

Another Wicked Cool Project

I'm trying to finish up on Halloween projects and gifts.  So here is one of the projects that I fell in LOVE with.  You may have seen this on several blogger sites, but I wanted to share with you my take.  This is the Soap Holders for the Cute Anti-Bacterial bottles that are out in Halloween fashion at Bath & Body.  They are just the perfect little gift for anyone, Grown Ups included.  This idea I originally saw I believe on Erica Cerwin's blog  (here) but there are many others.  So here is my Wicked Cool take!

This is the Closed Front View.

                                                     This is the Opened View.

Recipe:   Wicked Cool Stamp Set.  Cajun Craze, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock with Wicked Fun Designer Paper.  The Spider Web Embossing Folder, the Bitty Bat punch, 1" circle punch, 1 1/4 Circle Punch, 1 3/4 Scallop Circle Extra Large Punch, Rich Razzleberry 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Pearls.

Let's see what you come up with !!!

Day of Gratitude Treat Holder

As the days are flying by and we are getting closer to all the Holidays, I thought I would show you something for Autumn or Thanksgiving.  The Treat Holders have been around for awhile, but I think the "Autumn Spice" Designer Paper and the "Day of Gratitude" stamp set really make this a Special Holiday Treat Holder.  Not to mention the fact that I just love them!!  It would be a wonderful place setting at any Holiday Dinner!  Just think how excited everyone will be when they find this at their place around the Holiday Table.  I found this idea on Wendy Hawkinson's blog.  There are some instructions and dimensions (here).  I only changed a couple of things.   These Test Tubes are only 4 inches tall and 3/4" around.  I got the Test Tubes for this project from Papertrey. (here)  They sure would make the table a festive place for the Holidays!

                                                Have a great day!

Christmas Gift Card Holder

As promised here is the Christmas Gift Card Holder that was part of the inspiration of the Wicked Treats project from yesterday.  This Christmas Gift Card Holder was created I believe by Terri Gaines and was one of our Make & Takes from our Quarterly Meeting in September.  You can always use a wonderful idea for a Gift Card Holder especially around the Holidays!  You could switch this up and make it a  Masculine Birthday Gift Card Holder too, just use one of the numerous Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday stamps!

This is the Front View of the Christmas Gift Card Holder.

This is an open view of the Christmas Gift Card Holder.  I just LOVE how front is punched out and is really part of the inside holder!  Sorry I didn't notice that the bow was a little crooked when I took this picture.  But you get the idea.

Recipe:  Outside Cover
Cardstock - Early Espresso   7 3/4" x 4 1/2 "   Score @ 3/4", 4 1/4"
                  Always Artichoke   3 1/2" x  1"
Ribbon -  Always Artichoke 1/2" Seam Binding about 8 "
Sticky Strip, Scallop Edge Border Punch

Recipe:  Inside Gift Card Holder
Stamp Set - Tags Til Christmas
Cardstock - Crumb Cake  9 3/4" x 3 1/4"   Score @ 2", 6 5/8"
                  Always Artichoke  (Scrap)
                  Very Vanilla  (Scrap)
Markers - Always Artichoke, Early Espresso
Extra Large Designer Label Punch, Dimensionals, 2 Brads

Thanks goes to Terri Gaines for sharing this idea !   And also Susan Campfield for choosing this as one of our Make & Takes !

Wicked Treats

I so love this "Wicked Cool" stamp set!  I just keep going back to it.  This Wicked Treats Holder is so adorable.  A combination of a Halloween Card and a Gift Card Holder.  Brenda Cardinal, a fellow SU demonstrator shared this idea with me at a recent Stamp A Stack.  Great Treat for all those Special kids at Halloween.  Or Make them for your child's School Halloween Party.  You could always just make the inside Treat Card by itself too.

Tomorrow I will show you the Gift Card Holder that inspired this.

                                      Hope you like it !!

This is a front view of the Wicked Treats Holder.

Wicked Cool and A Cute Christmas

A little "Wicked Cool" for Halloween and "A Cute Christmas" for you.  These are the cards that were made at my last workshop on September 21st.  It was fun doing both Holidays at the same time.  Everyone just loved the New Embossing Folders from the Holiday Mini.  Both of the folders used to make these 2 cards were a big hit and several customers place them on their orders.

The "Wicked Cool" card I cased from Melissa Stout (here)

Recipe:   Wicked Cool stamp set
Whisper White, Basic Black and Basic Gray cardstock
               Wicked Cool Designer Paper
                Black Stazon Ink
                1/2" Raven Lace Trim
               Spider Web Embossing Folder

For the card using  "A Cute Christmas" this was cased from Sandi MacIver's Fast and Fun Cards (here)

There is a really fun technique on this card.  You use the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Extra Large Punch.  Then you use a regular hole punch and punch that right in the middle of the scallop.  So Cool!   With the Northern Flurries Embossing folder this was a "WOW" card for me.

Recipe:   A Cute Christmas stamp set
Marina Mist and Whisper White cardstock.
Black Stazon and Marina Mist ink
              Frost White Shimmer Paint
Marina Mist and Blushing Bride Markers
Marina Mist 1/8 Ribbon and Whisper White Organza Ribbon
              2 3/8' Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4 Circle Punch,
              New Medium Oval Punch
              Northern Flurries Embossing Folder

I hope you enjoy these two cards.  They were fast and fun cards with a "WOW".
                                          Sue
