Convention Gift Box

Convention is always filled with seeing New Products and Demonstrations of New Products.  While at Convention this year Brian Pilling demonstrated this super cute Gift Box.  Now this isn't made from a New Product, it's made using the Milk Carton Bigz Die.  Can you believe it!!  It is so cute and super easy to make.

This is my take on this cute Gift Box.  I actually needed to make a Gift Box for someone's Birthday that I missed while at Convention.  This was the perfect time to try this out while it was fresh in the memory.

All you have to do is cut out two of the Milk Cartons.  Then cut off one panel from the end of each of them.  (You want to cut the panel at the end without the tab.  Then just use sticky strip to put them together.  Crease all your folds and then string some Baker's Twine through the top after punching a hole using the 1/16 Circle Punch.  Then embellish to your hearts content.  There you have it!
Now of course I needed to add some CHOCOLATE to this box.  It's the perfect gift!!

Go ahead and give this a try, you will LOVE it!

Thanks for stopping by today !!

Happy Stamping !!!!

Flower Fest Gift Box

I'm hoping that everyone had a great weekend!  I'm still trying to get caught up on things from when I was at convention.  It was the Best Convention ever and it was my 5th one!   I found the cutest Gift Box and I actually made one for my Upline, Susan Campfield as a Convention Gift.  But I must have forgotten to take a picture before I packed and went to Convention.  :0

I needed to make another one for a Thank You Gift to give to the person who was the lucky one that got to watch my desk while I was gone.  So that's what I'm going to share with you today.

Enjoy !!!

This is pretty much a case of the one that I saw on Lisa Young's blog.  I just fell in LOVE with this wonderful idea for a gift.  It holds 2 items, one is Shower Gel and the other is Lotion which are the Travel Size.  Such a wonderful way to say "Thank You".   My upline LOVED hers and I'm hoping that my Desk Buddy does too!
I also made the Flower Fest Thank You card for her that I posted earlier.  ( Here )
Stamp Sets:  Flower Fest, Happy Greetings
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Daffadil Delight, Lucky Limeade

Good News - Lisa actually has a Tutorial on her blog for making the Gift Box.  ( Here )

Now I did remember to take a picture of Susan as she opened her gift at Convention!   :)

Susan's is just a little different as it has a different sentiment and a different placement of it.  Otherwise, they are the same.

A big "Thank You" goes to Lisa for sharing her Tutorial with everyone!

I will have another Gift Box to share with you later this week.  It was one that was demonstrated while I was at Convention.   So don't forget to stop back to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by today and Have a Wonderful Day !!

Happy Stamping !!!

2011 Convention Pics

This year was a Special Year for me at Convention.  I was so lucky to be selected as a Make & Take Helper!  Along with that, it was my 5th Year as a Stampin' Up Demonstrator!  Which means I would be walking across the stage for the very first time!  Another one of the exciting things about Convention is getting to meet so many wonderful and creative people!  All gathered in one place at the same time!  The friendships are truly special ones.  It's so much FUN each year to see them and catch up on things!  This year I was even able to meet some whom I have followed their blogs for several years and that was very exciting for me!

On Tuesday the day before check-in day I was walking through the Marriott Hotel Lobby and I was able to meet Patty Bennett.

Then on Wednesday, which was Check-In Day while I was making my way through the Salt Palace Convention Center, I was able to meet Kim Van Diepen. She was the Top Demonstrator of the Year last year.

Now I also met a wonderful person from the Stampin' Up Home Office. I first met Amy in the Marriott Hotel Lobby while I was meeting a special friend who I met via our Stampin' Connection Demonstrator site. Amy was so kind to offer to take some pictures of us. Then on Check-In Day I needed some assistance and guess who was there to help me out?   Amy!   We just always seemed to be in the same place at the same time. After about the fourth time that I saw Amy, I finally asked her if I could get a picture with her. So here is Amy!

Then Wednesday night was also our Kick Off Party.   I was hoping that I would see Mary Fish and Mike Funke.   I actually met Mike last year while at Convention, but I missed meeting Mary.   Mary is Mike's upline.   But this year I was so lucky to find both of them together at the Kick Off Party!

Here are 2 very Special Ladies.   Becky Roberts and her BFF - Kim Sinclair.  It was last year that I was able to meet Becky and Kim.  We were actually even at the same hotel.  Well last year we kept running into each other after we first met.  Then I was on the same flight as Kim on our way going back home.  Kim and I went to grab a bite to eat in Denver and Kim almost missed her flight home.  I felt so bad.  This year was yet another amazing time!

So don't miss out on all the excitement of Convention any longer.  Sign up and join my team and experience all the FUN of Convention next year.  Just click on the link at the top of my blog that says "Join My Team" !

Happy Stamping  !!!

Convention Gifts 2011

WOW!!! So sorry that I've been MIA for a while! I'm back from Stampin' Up! Convention and have to say that this is one of the BEST Conventions that I've attended…they gave away SO much stuff that I was worried my suitcase would weigh too much!

So today I wanted to share with you some of the Convention Gifts that I made for some very Special People!!  So let's get started shall we.

First off here is my Convention Swap Card for the Organized Swap that I participated in with UStamp with Dawn and Friends.

The original idea for this card came from Marcy at our Quarterly Stamp Share Meeting.  I changed a couple of things and added a couple of things too!

Stamp Set:  Posy Punch Hostess set
Cardstock:  Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, Basic Black
I used the NEW Houndstooth Embossing Folder on the Whisper White cardstock.  The Lace Ribbon Border Punch on the Basic Black cardstock and added Basic Jewel - Rhinestones for some BLING!
Fancy Flower Punch, 1" Circle Punch was used for not only the center of the flower, but also the Basic Black outline around the Posy Punch Flower.  The leaves are made using the Blossom Petals Builder Punch.

Next up, I made some Special Photo Clips using My Digital Studio and the GROW theme download along with the Beyond the Garden Designer Paper.

Perfect for displaying their Favorite picture from Convention.  Mine will have a picture of my walk across stage for my 5 Years with Stampin' Up!!

Next is a cute little Notebook for all those important notes and project ideas.

I used the Beyond the Garden Designer Paper again and the GROW Convention Theme using My Digital Studio.

For the Grand Finale I got this awesome project idea from my fellow Demonstrator Terri Snider.

Aren't these Magnetic Chalk Boards the cutest thing ever!

They are made with 5 x 7 Flashing that you can purchase pre-cut at your local Home Improvement Store.  I covered them with the First Edition Specialty Paper.  The "notes" was made using the Timeless Type Sizzlits Dies in Melon Mambo cardstock.  The Chalkboard Decor Elements was cut using the Top Note Bigz Die.  I found some circle magnets at your local Hobby store and covered them with Flirtatious Specialty Paper.   Melon Mambo and Flirtatious Specialty Paper was used along with the Fun Flowers Bigz XL Die to make the cute flower on the side.  Topped off with the Pretty In Pink      1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

Now this is how they were Gifted Wrapped !!

I used the Flower Fest stamp set, which is on my Favorites List currently.  Ink Colors are Melon Mambo, Daffadil Delight, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Basic Gray.  The Tags were made using Melon Mambo, Whisper White and the 2 3/8" Scalloped Circle Punch.  Sentiment is from the Happy Greeting set in the Summer Mini stamped with Melon Mambo.  I added the cute butterfly on the side and Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.  The ribbon on the Handle is the New 3/8" Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon.

Be sure to you check out the 2011 Convention Highlight video.  Along with the Awesome Special that is currently being offered by Stampin' Up when you sign up to be a Demonstrator that I posted earlier  ( Here )There is a link on the prior post to join My Team.

Stamp Share Make and Takes

I hope that everyone had a very safe and wonderful 4th of July.  With so many things to do before I go to convention and so little time to get them done.   I haven't shared the Make and Takes from our June Stamp Share meeting.  Have you browsed through the New Idea Book and Catalog yet?  There are so many wonderful things to see!  So I better get busy, right ??

Here we go.

This is the group picture of the Make and Takes that we made at our Stamp Share Meeting.

We usually make something for Convention.  This year we made our Convention Pins that we will be wearing.  Using the Deck the Halls Fabric, batting, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Victoria Crochet Trim and an Antique Brad in the center.  Made with the Big Shot and the Fun Flowers Die.  The fabric was sprayed with Heavy Spray Starch, scrunched and let dry.  Really gives it texture!

This was such a fun project !  It's a card or a mini album.

Stamp Set:  Sweets for the Sweet

You start with an 8" x 8" piece of Melon Mambo and then add a 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock which used the Polka Dots EB folder, there is also a 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock under the Pumpkin Pie Prints Designer Paper, a 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of Melon Mambo on top of that.  Using a 1 1/4" Circle Punch for the sentiment, all tied up with  1/4" Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon.

Here is a view of the inside.

This cute Ice Cream Cone card is made with the Pennant Parade stamp set.  Crumb Cake is your color for the base of the card. Then ran through the Big Shot using the Polka Dot EB folder.   Make a Tag out of Whisper White textured cardstock.  Ice Cream is made using the Build a Cupcake Punch.  The cone is made by stamping a Pennant then cut out and place on the front of the tag.  The cute little border on the bottom of this card is made using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch.  Tie a ribbon using the Baker's Twine and put a Cherry on the Top!!

This is the inside of the card using Happy Birthday with a Cherry on Top stamp from the A Word for You stamp set.
 Makes it just perfect!

As always a really BIG Thank YOU to both Susan Campfield and Brenda Cardinal for sharing their talents with us!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happy Stamping !!
