Love & Laughter Wedding Card

Happy Weekend Ladies!!!  I didn't think the week would ever end.  I'm so excited the weekend is here and I will actually have some time to play !!!

It's getting to be that time of year, wedding time.  As I have a couple upcoming Weddings, I was browsing for some ideas.  I found this Wedding card idea on Selene Kempton's blog.  So I cased Selene's card for one and did a my take for the other card.

First up is the cased Love & Laughter Wedding card:

The Designer Paper is Mocha Morning, which will be retiring soon.  Perfect time to use up the retiring paper to make room for the New.  And the colors are a perfect fit for this wedding!   Here's a link to Selene's blog as she has the recipe listed there for you.  (Click Here)

So I took this same idea and created another card for my other Wedding:

I used the Twitterpated Designer Paper for this card.  I just love it when you can change things up by using another Designer Paper !!  I really had fun with these cards and I'm ready for the Wedding season to begin.  The "Love & Laughter" stamp set is in the Occasions Mini which ends on April 30th. So if you have a lot of upcoming Weddings, don't miss out on this wonder stamp set.  Place your order before this one is gone !!!

Thanks to Selene for sharing her creativity !!!

Have a great weekend and make some time to Stamp this weekend!!

Happy Stamping !!!

The Retired Accessories and Definitely Decorative Lists are now available.

The list is HUGE but don't panic. We already knew the Decor Elements and Simply Adorned lines were going to go as Stampin' Up! is shifting their focus back to their core papercrafting products (yeah!!). You will also notice that all the stamp pads are shown on he discontinued list. The colors are NOT changing! The pad design is changing to a new improved Firm Foam Pad. The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images. The colors are all the same!

You will also notice a lot of 12 x 12 cardstock and markers on the hit list. They are being reconfigured. Not all 12" x 12" cardstock colors will be available in individual packs anymore. Color assortment packs will be available, and some colors from each color collection will be available in individual packs. Stampin’ Write Markers in more popular colors will still be available individually. Color assortments packs will still be available. So.. if you have a particular color of cardstock that you can't live without in 12 x 12 size, you better order Up! Same with individual markers...get them while they last.

Even though you are seeing a lot of your favorite stamp sets and products going away. In each new catalog Stampin' Up! always supplies us with fresh stamp sets and up to date accessories that make our projects fabulous. It's ok, change is good (even though I do not like it!) and 6 months from now we won't even remember what was on that list!
Just keep stampin' and enjoying!!

Baby Shower

I know I'm late.  Things just haven't been going as planned and you know that I so hate when that happens.  Much rather be stampin and playing around, that's for sure!!  So here's the Baby Shower.

All the gifts are ready and waiting to be opened.   Our new mom to be is looking forward to finding out what's inside of all those bags on the table.

Now I made a diaper cake last fall for one of my Stamp Club ladies.   So I thought I would give this another try for this Baby Shower.  So much fun to make and it really makes a wonderful personal gift to give!

The theme for the baby's room was all sorts of cute animals!  Greens, Blues, Yellow and Brown.  I used the Nursery Nest Designer Paper.  Of all the animals my favorite was the Giraffe and I was so excited when I found this cute topper for the Diaper Cake.   It's even musical !!

We know it's a boy, but our new Mom isn't sharing the name as she's keeping that for the surprise.

Here's a closer view of the front of the Diaper cake.
You can see the alligators and the giraffes.   The cute little baby is from Jackie Topa's Punch Art Tutorial.  It was just perfect for the main piece on the 1st layer.

The top layer has these cute little monkeys.

I thought I had taken pictures of the Baby Frame that I made, but I'm afraid that didn't happen.  I'll have to see if anyone else has a picture of the frame.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happy Stamping !!!

Love and Laughter - Wedding Shower Card

Good Morning Ladies,

Today I have the Love and Laughter Wedding Shower card that I made for a co-worker who is getting married in May.  The Bride's colors and Cream and Black, but her favorite color is Purple.  So I took her colors and used them all in the card that I made.  The Love and Laughter stamp set is in the Occasions Mini catalog.

Here's the card that I came up with:

I just LOVE all the detail that this stamp set has.  This card is a combination of a couple of cards that I've seen recently.  One being a card that Mary Fish had posted on her blog.

Everyone at the shower was so impressed with my card.  I was very happy with how it turned out.
The Pearls going down the side of the dress really accent this card.

Recipe:
Stamp Set:  Love and Laughter
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Perfect Plum
Ink:    Black Stazon and Pefect Plum
1 1/4" Basic Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Basic Jewels Pearls, Itty Bitty Sahpes Punch Pack, 1" Square Punch.

I want to Thank everyone for stopping by today!!

Happy Stamping !!!

April Stamp Club

Wow,  What a busy week it's been.  Which is why I haven't had time to post.  With work still being pretty crazy, that usually means overtime.  Then I had a Baby Shower to attend, Stamp Club and then a Wedding Shower today.  Whew !!

So I thought I would start with Stamp Club first and in the upcoming week, I'll show you some things from the Showers.

Per the request of the Ladies in my Stamp Club we made an awesome Chocolate Box.  This idea comes from my fellow demonstrator Brenda Cardinal.  I actually attended her class back in January just so I could learn how this was made.   Isn't this too cute !!!

This is an open view, so that you can see the drawers pulled out about half way.

This is the closed view.  We had an awesome time making these.  As you can see our theme this month is Mother's Day.   I'm checking with Brenda about posting some of the dimensions.  But basically this cute Chocolate Box is made with the Matchbox Die.  You need 4 of these to make the drawers that hold the Chocolate.  Also used is the Scallop Square Die, the Hearts Collection Framelits, the Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Delightful Dozen stamp set, Cheerful Treat Designer Paper, Concord Crush and Whisper White cardstock, and Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon.

Then we made a Mom's Day Card to go with the Chocolate Box.

Here's the closed view of this adorable card.
This is a case of a card that Lorri Heiling shared on her blog.  When I saw this cute card I knew we had to do this for our Mom's Day card this month.  Lorri is quite creative when it comes to Punch Art.

Here's the open view.
It uses the " Packed for Mom " stamp as the background in Whisper White Craft ink.
"Curvy Verses" and the "Swak" stamp set are used for the inside of the compact.
Blushing Bride, Basic Black and a scrap of Whisper White, Brushed Silver and Regal Rose cardstock.  Lots of Punches are used to make the compact and the lipstick.  Modern Label, Word Window, 3/4" Square (retired),  1 3/4" Circle Punch, Ornament Punch, Scalloped Edge Border Punch along with the Alphabet Simple Letters Dies.

It's Time To Say Goodbye to the Old Favorites!

You can see the retired stamp set list HERE.

This is by far, the LARGEST LIST that Stampin Up has ever presented, with over 300 items!...They decided with the NEW catalog format, size and date of release, it was also a great opportunity to revamp the entire content, so, while you may be sad that so many are leaving - Be JOYFUL, that we are getting a WHOLE CATALOG of new exciting Products!......these stamps will no longer be available when the new Annual Catalog goes live June 1st, and sometimes they also sell out.....so if you have a favorite on this list, consider ordering soon.

A BIG Thank You to Brenda and Lorri !!!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend !!

Happy Stamping !!!

Chocolate and a Gift Card Holder for Easter

It's only a couple of days till Easter !!!  So I wanted to share this with you before, rather than after the Big Easter Day.  I originally saw this idea around Christmas time, but then I wasn't able to find it again.  I hate when that happens.  So to my delight I was browsing around and happened to find this project again that Glenda Calkins made.  You could use this idea for any Special Occasion or Holiday, but it would work especially nice as a Birthday Gift or even a Graduation Gift!!

So here is my take on Glenda's Holiday Chocolate and Gift Card Holder:

This is the closed picture.  As you can sorta see the front opens and that is where you can enclose a gift card.  I didn't do that this time, I just made it into a card.

This is a somewhat of an open view of the chocolates inside.   I used the It's A Wrap - Occasions stamp set.  It says Happy Easter and then has the cutest Easter Basket !!  Stamped on Whisper White cardstock measuring  1"  x  3", then wrapped around the chocolate.   The Chocolate Holder holds 10 Hershey Nuggets !!  Woo Hoo !

Glenda has a video tutorial to show you how to make this project.  Just click  ( Here ) to watch.

A Big Thank You to Glenda for sharing !!!

Wishing you a Happy Easter  !!!

Happy Stamping !!!

Bright Blossoms

Good Morning Ladies,

As promised today is a Mary Fish day !!  When I saw this cute idea on Mary's blog, I told her I just had to case this!  The Bright Blossoms set is part of the Sneek Peak from the upcoming New Annual Catalog !! How cool is it to get a Sneek Peak !!!  The Summer Smooches Suite is totally delightful.

So here is my case of Mary's idea:

This is the group picture.  The cards are 2 x 2 and they fit perfectly inside of the Itty Bitty Box with their own Lucky Limeade matching envelopes!.

Now here is a close up of the Itty Bitty Box.  Isn't it just Darling !!  There is a Wild Wasabi belly band around the box that slips off to open.  Using the Four Frames stamp set and Early Espresso Ink to decorate the box front.  The Pursuit of Happiness greeting is stamped in Lucky Limeade and then a piece of Real Red cardstock is punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.  Added a Real Red button and some Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine as the finishing touch.

Here's a close up of the darling 2 x 2 cards that go inside.  Using Real Red, Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso Ink and the Bright Blossoms stamp set.

Just imagine giving this to a Special Friend as a gift!   They would absolutely LOVE it!!

Thanks to Mary for sharing her creativity with all of us !!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping !!!
